Summary, etc. Europe, 1938<br/>À bord du train le Monde des Merveilles, Lena Papadopoulos ne trouve pas sa place. Même si elle est la fille de l’illusionniste en tête d’affiche. Même si elle partage wagons et repas avec le reste de la troupe. Chaque jour, son fauteuil roulant ne cesse de lui rappeler sa différence et son douloureux isolement. Elle a beau avoir grandi près des feux de la rampe, son univers demeure fermement ancré dans la réalité.<br/>Mais au cours d’un trajet les menant vers le prochain spectacle, elle sauve Alexandre, un jeune orphelin juif au passé mystérieux. Sa vie change soudain radicalement. Alors que la troupe voyage à travers le continent, l’amitié qui unit les deux enfants s’épanouit et se transforme, au fil des années, en quelque chose de plus grand. Pendant ce temps, la guerre s’intensifie. Au-delà des lumières étincelantes de la scène, la noirceur du nazisme détruit tout sur son passage.<br/>Quand elle perdra ce qu’elle chérit le plus, Lena sera forcée de suivre son propre chemin, d’affronter ses doutes et de croire en l’impossible... en commençant par elle-même.<br/>
