Il est possible que, dans un esprit de défiance et d'orgueil, tous les dinosaures aient accepté de sauter dans un cratère rempli de magma bouillant; ou qu'ils aient réussi à construire une fusée leur permettant d'aller à la découverte de l'univers; ou encore qu'ils soient morts de faim en attendant vainement l'heure du dîner, etc. Finalement, Fred laisse la science parler à son tour. Summary, etc. L'album est illustré de superbes aquarelles présentant des dinosaures un peu bêtes, à la mine franchement sympathique. Les théories sont parfois originales, mais le sujet peut paraître un brin morbide, car on fait jouer entre elles des hypothèses farfelues sur une extinction de masse. Autrement dit, on tourne un peu la mort en ridicule. Une page documentaire complète l'ouvrage. [SDM]
