Summary, etc. Une petite chenille passe ses journées à mâchouiller les feuilles tendres du buisson où elle vit, en attendant le jour où elle deviendra un papillon. Toutefois, elle doit faire attention aux nombreux dangers qui la guettent, ce qui ne l'empêche pas d'escalader un arbre imposant par pure curiosité. Prise de vertige, elle se dit qu'elle ne voudrait plus jamais se retrouver aussi haut dans les airs, ce qui lui enlève toute envie de devenir papillon. Si les jours suivants se déroulent tristement pour elle, la métamorphose tant attendue finit par arriver et la chenille, devenue papillon bleu, découvre à quel point il est merveilleux de se sentir comme un géant. Summary, etc. Une petite histoire gentille illustrant la métamorphose du papillon, où une chenille anthropomorphisée faisant preuve de beaucoup de sensibilité éprouve à la fois de l'impatience, du bonheur, de la peur, de la curiosité, du vertige et de la tristesse face à sa situation, avant de s'accepter telle qu'elle est une fois sortie de sa chrysalide. De lumineux pastels de synthèse, dominés par le vert clair de la petite chenille et de la végétation luxuriante qui l'entoure, accompagnent le texte, dont certaines phrases ondulent sur la page afin d'évoquer, entre autres, la douceur des rêves et de la brise dans les buissons.
